You know, if I park my car in an area known for car damage and theft, and leave valuables in the passenger seat (say my mobile phone, CDs/DVDs or a tablet) then I have to accept part of the blame when my car is broken into and my valuables stolen.
When certain choices and actions are widely known to lead to a given conclusion in a large number of circumstances, then the owner of those choices and actions really should give time and effort into rethinking them.
Read into that what you will, I just don't want my car to be broken into.
